π± About the Program
The Cotech Horticulture Program promotes sustainable agricultural practices that empower communities β especially women and youth β to achieve economic independence while protecting the environment. We combine traditional farming wisdom with modern eco-technologies to create a future where agriculture is productive, sustainable, and climate-resilient.
In Kajiado County, Cotech has been gifted 20 acres of land for a horticultural and organic farm. This project addresses major challenges in the area: water scarcity, vulnerable livelihoods, and economic instability. The farm will not only grow high-value crops but also provide water, employment, and skills training to local women, youth, and pastoralist communities, fostering sustainable development and community resilience.
π― Our Objectives
- Empower local farmers β especially women and youth β with sustainable horticultural skills.
- Promote environmentally friendly farming and organic food production.
- Encourage agripreneurship through training, mentorship, and volunteer engagement.
- Provide sustainable water solutions for the farm and surrounding communities.
- Supply essential farm infrastructure including fencing, irrigation, and equipment.
- Strengthen community resilience against food insecurity, drought, and climate change.
π
