Our Beginning

Cotech was founded out of a deep desire to bring the power of technology to those who have been left behind. In the heart of Trans Nzoia County, we saw a generation full of potential — creative, resilient, and eager — yet disconnected from the digital world that shapes today’s opportunities.

What started as a small group of passionate youth has grown into a movement driven by inclusion, innovation, and a relentless belief that change begins at the grassroots level.

The Challenges We Face

Overreliance on outdated agricultural practices becoming increasingly unsustainable.
Many households lack access to clean water, modern tools, and resilient farming techniques.
Youth unemployment is rampant, with scarce opportunities for gainful employment.
Infrastructure gaps, including poor access to internet and markets.
Social issues: gender inequality, substance abuse, school dropout, early pregnancies, and child neglect.

Our Story

Cotech is founded and run by youth born and raised in Trans Nzoia who are determined to eliminate the hindrances caused by the digital divide. We are a team of graduates who studied together in the very communities we now serve. We understand firsthand the urgent needs facing our people.

Driven by the spirit of Heartivism, we lead with inclusivity, honesty, and transparency. It's not the number of times we fall that defines us, but how many times we rise after each fall.

Our Belief

We believe we are not too late. What has not been done right in the past can be revisited — and we believe, with hope and action, all shall be well. Cotech stands as a testament that positive change begins with compassion, courage, and community.
